Profile

Oleksii Yehorchenkov is an associate professor at the Faculty of Management, Comenius University in Bratislava, where he is responsible for the operation and development of the GIS laboratory. He holds a PhD and a Doctor of Technical Sciences degree in Computer Science, specialising in project and programme management, and combines strong methodological expertise with practical experience in applied digital solutions. He has also worked as a researcher at Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU Bratislava).

Before joining Comenius University, he worked at several Ukrainian universities, including Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, serving in academic roles such as associate professor and professor. He has participated multiple times in Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility activities and contributed to international capacity-building initiatives, including the Erasmus+ KA2 project “dComFra – a digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens”. He also served as a visiting lecturer at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, teaching Information Processing and Data Analysis for Master’s students.

He coordinates the DREAMER project (Development and Reconstruction Empowerment through Advanced Project Management Education and Research), supporting Ukraine’s recovery through advanced project management education and research with a focus on clean energy, digital transformation, and sustainability. Across his academic career, he has authored and co-authored more than 100 scientific publications. Alongside university work, he is involved in commercial IT projects, primarily focused on enterprise digital transformation—bridging research, education, and real-world implementation.
